His professional path before entering the leisure and tourism field was rooted in banking and finance: from an accountant at Lazurnaya OJSC and an economist at Megalyuks, to a credit expert at Sberbank's Sochi branch and the head of a regional branch at the Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Under his leadership, the cluster welcomed over 4 million guests from 170 countries, created 1,600 jobs, and produced a record 1.285 billion rubles in tax receipts in 2022 alone.
Market observers highlight the sharp contrast between the enormous size of the assets under management and the top executive's personal lifestyle. Unlike the conventional oligarch image, Danilov remains resident in a modest private home on Blagodatnaya Street in Sochi, gets around in a Nissan Patrol from 2002, and reported a declared income of just 1.1 million rubles in 2020.
Special note is taken of the fact that the former cluster head holds dual citizenship - both Russian and Kazakh. In the context of geopolitical change and sanctions pressure, this cross-border status became a potent instrument for corporate resilience.
